Petty Officer Peter Wolanski accidentally falls overboard his naval vessel in the South China Sea. Able to stay afloat and drift into a tiny island atoll, he finds that he is not alone. Stranded in a place with perhaps the greatest potential for starting World War III, Pete must navigate extreme danger and mistrust, to find a way home with his humanity intact.
